Our theme this year is "The Tree of Many Colours" and as usual we have a schedule full of exciting events this February. Please call for tickets or info that you may need to join us for our scheduled program. We are currently seeking volunteers and vendors that might want to have displays at our artisan fair on Feb 26th. Happy holidays from the Nanaimo African Heritage Society!Season Greetings! We have been working tirelessly, pushing Black History Month to be bigger and better each year but with the holidays quickly approaching we will shift our focus to celebrate our first Kwanza ever! Kwanza, first celebrated by African Americans, is an agnostic tradition which goes beyond religion to bring people of different ethnicities together. This year will be a private practice, however, our hopes are that next year our Kwanza will be open to the public!
